Senator Leahy Addresses Sold-Out Attendance at 2018 Leahy Institute of Advanced Patent Studies

The Naples Roundtable is honored to announce that, for the first time under the banner of the Leahy Institute of Advanced Patent Studies, The Naples Roundtable held its third annual conference in Naples, Florida, on February 18-20, 2018. The purpose of the annual conference is to improve the patent system by bringing bring together leaders in Intellectual Property from around the world to dialog on significant patent issues percolating in judicial, legislative and academic forums in the U.S. and abroad. Senator Leahy provided opening comments via video to the sold-out room of attendees, including over 10 Judges (sitting and retired), USPTO officials, and thought leaders from law firms, major corporations and academia. Senator Leahy has stated:

“I am very pleased that The Naples Roundtable has now initiated the Leahy Institute of Advanced Patent Studies to continue its groundbreaking efforts to bring together recognized experts to explore ways to strengthen and improve the patent system.  I look forward to working with the Officers and Advisory Committee to maintain the vital role of our patent system as an engine of innovation.”

The 2019 Leahy Institute of Advanced Patent Studies will once again be by invitation-only, and is slated to be held February 17-19, 2019, at the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club in Naples, FL.
